Valuable experience

Teaching is a highly rewarding job and gives you valuable work experience regardless of your degree or career path after university. The programme will include working with students aged 3 – 12 years old in small groups. You’ll be teaching different subjects and activities, such as English, Ed Tech, Arts & Crafts, Maths, Science, or even Sport. It will be a 5-day working week, supported by a staff member, who will always be on hand to help where needed. Training will be provided before starting the programme, so you will be ready to lead in the classroom. More information on the specific day to day duties will be given closer to the start date.

However, it is not just about the work experience, it is about travelling, embracing new cultures, meeting new people and most importantly having a great time! Students from any course are eligible to apply. We will guide you through the process and arrange training, accommodation and always be there to support you throughout your journey. Hong Kong

Fees & Funding

This is an opportunity not to be missed! In terms of costs, please see an outline below. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Programme Fees:

£300 deposit to confirm your place on the programme (this is reimbursed at the end)
£2,850 total fee for the 6 week programme (see what’s included below)
£2,000 salary at the end of the programme

At the University of Central Lancashire, we offer a Bursary for exciting international programmes such as this!

On top of the UCLan Bursary, students will be able to receive Turing Funding as well. This funding will only be available for a maximum of 28 days, even if the you go for more than that time. Please see details below:

Funding Available:

£800 UCLan Bursary towards the programme fee
£500 + Turing Funding (this can be more… it depends on student household income etc)
